  1. Salvation Gifts from the Father John Chapter 3

  2. What does salvation from sin mean? Salvation from sin only means that we are saved from the penalty of sin (Romans 3:23) Salvation is eternal and is offered to those who receive Jesus Christ (John 3:16) Salvation does not mean that we are freed from the presence of sin and the power of sin (Romans 7).

  3. What did Jesus accomplish with His Work on the cross? Jesus is the propitiation (“satisfaction”) to God for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Jesus died as our substitute on the cross as a spotless Lamb of God. After Jesus died, the veil in the temple was torn in half so that we can now go into the Holy of Holies ourselves with a High Priest representing us - Jesus Christ

  4. Things We Receive at Salvation–The Father Loved of God (1 John 3:1; John 14:21; Eph 2:4) as shown at salvation. A mansion (Hebrew “mone” which means “abode”) in heaven in the Father’s House is waiting for us (John 14:2). Become sons of God (John 1:12, 1 John 3:1-2, Rev. 21:7) Become children of God (Gal. 3:25) Made heirs (receiving by divine appointment) of God and joint-heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17)

  5. Things We Receive at Salvation–The Father Made alive together with Christ (Eph. 2:5) God sends the spirit of the Son into our hearts (Gal 4:6) Saved from the wrath of God (Romans 5:9) Made heirs (receiving by divine appointment) of God and joint-heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17) Our life is saved even though works (in the flesh) will be burned(1 Cor. 3:15)

  6. Things We Receive at Salvation–The Father Given the gift of grace when we apply our faith in Christ(Eph. 2:8-9) Called us with a holy calling, not according to works but by grace (2 Timothy 1:9) Received the washing (bathing/baptism) of regeneration (renewal/transformation)(Titus 3:5) Elected according the foreknowledge of God the Father (1 Pet 1:2) – God knew in advance in eternity past. Chosen by God when we received Christ (Eph. 1:4)

  7. Things We Receive at Salvation–The Father Are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people(1 Pet. 2:9) Sanctified wholly by the God of peace (1 Thess. 5:23) Has quickened us (made us alive) together with Christ (Eph 2:5) Made us members of the body of Christ and tempered the body together (1 Cor. 12:18, 24) At death we are absent from the body and present (face to face) with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:6)

  8. Things We Receive at Salvation–The Father Will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away (Rev. 21:4) Names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Rev. 21:27)

  9. If you have not committed your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, now is the time to pray and ask Him into your life.
