    3. Discovering College Spend a morning with a college student at local campuses: JMU, EMU, Bridgewater Sit in on a class Have lunch Talk with a successful college student with a disAbility Find out about DisAbility Services

    4. Discovering College JMU March 25th or March 30th 9:30-12:00 Lunch (cost $6.50 + tax) See your teacher for a registration form and flyer Registration Deadline: March 9th

    5. Discovering College EMU April 6th 9:30-12:00 Lunch will be provided See your teacher for a registration form and flyer Registration Deadline: March 9th

Exploring College Come Spend 3 days at JMU Join JMU students with disAbilities to explore a college experience See why college is so much fun Spend 3 Days on JMU’s campus Wednesday, June 16th 9:00-5:00 Thursday, June 17th 9:00-5:00 Friday, June 18th 9:00-7:00* *Parents are invited to a dinner from 5:00-7:00 Cost: $100.00/student – covers all lunch, snacks and student dinner on Friday. Scholarships may be available, check with your special ed teacher

    8. Day 1: READY Preparing for the College Get to know everyone in the group- and have fun with them Learn to set some goals for yourself Did you know that you have rights? Learn about them How do you even apply to college? We’ll explain the process Learn how to find the best college for you

    9. Day 2: SET Skills needed to be successful See what it is like to sit through a college class (mock lecture) Check yourself- how did you do during the class? Learn about college resources Like gadgets? We have some to show you Trust us- there is more to college than work, let us show you how to have fun

    10. Day 3: GO! Keys to Success Learn to be your own self advocate Find out how to communicate with your professors Improve your self-esteem and work ethic Create and plan a wonderful, funny, smart skit with your team See how fast you can complete our scavenger hunt, you just might win a prize

    11. Day 3: An evening with your parents Let us calm your parents’ fears, we’ll answer questions from them about being successful in college Amuse everyone with your skit Feel a sense of accomplishment for finishing this wonderful, fun and enlightening program
