  1. B. Tech syllabus across universities

  2. Among the many professions on the rise, the latest to get all the attention is the engineering sector. The boom in the IT industry in Asian countries has resulted in a significant number of students opting for the course. • The Bachelor of Technology which is commonly referred to as B Tech is a very popular undergraduate academic degree conferred after completion of a three or four-year program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university-level institution. • Although each university decides and sets the B. Tech syllabus, it is more or less similar across all institutions.

  3. The degree is, in general, awarded to those who have undertaken a B Tech degree program which is supplemented by occupational placements (e.g. Supervised practice or internships), practice-based classroom courses, or associate degrees. • Due to these requirements and the vast in-depth study required, the degree normally takes at least four years. In some countries, the degree is awarded following completion of a curriculum which is career oriented, emphasizing practice as opposed to theory. Hence internships and work experience is made compulsory and included as a part of the B. Tech syllabusand the course may last up to five years.

  4. Branches in B. Tech courses - Generally the first year (first two semesters) is common to all branches, and has the same subjects of study. Courses divert after first year and each course focuses on specialized topics in the respective core field. The medium of instruction and examination is English. There are at least 25 different fields of engineering, although most universities may offer only about six to seven options depending upon the capacity to accommodate students, availability of faculty and accrediting of the B. Tech courses by the AICTE and the Indian Government. • Outline of B. Tech colleges in Delhi- Each year, hundreds of students arrive in Delhi with their ambition to pursue their interest in the engineering in one of the best colleges in India, The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi). Over the years, Delhi has emerged as the hottest destination for engineering education because of many reasons such as good infrastructure and facilities, strong academic staff and most importantly the campus placements. B. Tech colleges in Delhi manage to give its students the complete package.

  5. B.E. syllabus vs. B. Tech syllabus- In India a B. Tech Degree is also known by other abbreviations. Some universities offer it as B Tech whereas some as BEng/BE. However, the name of degree doesn’t make any difference, as the curriculum is regulated by the AICTE/UGC and is hence standard all across universities. It is mostly all autonomous government organization that confers a B.Tech degree while private institutes which are affiliated to regional universities confer BE degree. Hence the B. Tech syllabusand B.E. syllabus are actually pretty much the same.
