  1. ROLE OF PUBLIC PROCUREMENT PORTAL COMMITTEE in UK The Public Procurement Portal Committee is an advisory body that advises the UK Government on procurement matters. The committee was established to improve the transparency and accessibility of procurement information. It was set up to advise the government on procurement matters and provide guidance for public bodies, such as local authorities, on how they can use the portal. The committee is made up of members from a range of different backgrounds and sectors, including: public sector organisations, businesses, trade associations and consumer groups. The Public Procurement Portal Committee is a committee that advises the Minister for the Cabinet Office on any decisions relating to the Public Procurement Portal. The committee is made up of representatives from Government Departments, including representatives from HM Treasury, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Public procurement is the process of purchasing goods, works, and services to meet the needs of the public sector. Public procurement has become one of the most important activities undertaken by governments. The UK government has launched a new online portal called “Tenders Electronic Daily” (TED) for public procurement. The portal provides an easy way to search for tenders from all government departments, local authorities and publicly funded schools in England, Wales and Scotland. TED also provides information about how to bid for contracts on TED or other portals. The TED website also offers a range of training courses that are designed to help businesses understand how to bid for contracts on TED or other portals. The Tender government is committed to improving the way public procurement is done. It has created a new system to help with this process, the Public Procurement Portal (PPP). The PPP is designed to make it easier for suppliers and buyers of goods and services. The PPP is a single online portal where buyers can find information about public procurement opportunities, including details on what they are looking for, how to apply and how to get help. Sellers can also use the portal to view all current opportunities in one place.
