Guru Swarup Srivastava: A Friend in need Guru Swarup Srivastava, an industrialist, social worker, film producer, and art collector, never thinks twice when people and the society at large need his help. A few years back, in the 2005 Film Fare Award, he had contributed one of his MF Hussain collection for cancer patients. None other than Mr. Amitav Bachchan was present on that occasion along with Guru Swarup Srivastava to present the painting to the Cancer Association established for helping cancer patients in India. During that time Mr. Amitav Bachchan was the Brand Ambassador of the Cancer Association and Guru Swarup Srivastava was the Vice President of the association. Guru Swarup Srivastava for COVID-19 patients Almost twenty years back Guru Swarup Srivastava bought 100 paintings of world-famous painter MF Hussain for 100 crores. The value of each painting after so many years have increased manifold. So, Guru Srivastava is going to be one of the top individual-level contributors in the PM Care Fund. The MF Hussain collection is timeless and invaluable for any art collector but Guru Swarup Srivastava always gives priority to social causes. His contribution to the Cancer Association is still remembered with great respect. Like Ratan Tata, Mukesh Ambani, Akshay Kumar, or Hrithik Roshan, Guru Swarup Srivastava’s contribution and sacrifice will be remembered for a long time.
