  1. 6 Things to Consider before Buying a Treadmill in Singapore Need a treadmill for your home gym? Don't just buy anything that comes cheap. You have to look beyond the price in order to get the best value. Below are some of the most important things to consider in finding the right treadmill for you. 1. Available Space The first thing that you want to check is if you have enough space for a treadmill in your gym. You also need to measure your storage space if you are thinking to buy a folding treadmill. Standard treadmills are 64 by 28 inches, although the dimensions may vary depending on the brand. So before purchasing, be sure to refer to the product description to check if the unit will fit in your gym. 2. Motor Power The right power depends on the intensity of your exercise as well as weight. For intense running, choose 3.0 HP. If you are more of a walker or jogger, then a treadmill with 2.0 to 2.5 HP will work. If you weigh more than 100 kilos, it is advisable to add 0.5 HP so your treadmill won't wear out quickly. 3. Track Size Users with long legs need a longer track length to make every stride comfortable. The standard track length is 55 inches. But for serious runners, it should be at least 60 inches. 4. Other Features Extra features in your treadmill can level-up your workout routine and help you meet your goals. Some treadmills have pre-set programs that automatically adjust the speed from fast to slow depending on the workout routine you are following. Others even have wireless pulse motors, built-in TV, and speakers to make your running sessions more enjoyable. 5. Speed Not all treadmills are created equal. Some support top speeds while others do not. If you are a runner and want to continuously challenge yourself, pick a treadmill that reaches 12mph or higher. Otherwise, 10mph is enough. 6. Your Budget Of course, budget is always an important factor. You can find decent treadmills in $500 but they might only be good for daily walking and jogging. Invest in a higher-end treadmill that costs around $800 to $1000, which is usually more durable and offers a lot of extra features.

  2. Another factor to consider is the shop where your treadmill will be coming from. Be sure to order it from a reputable distributor of many international gym equipment brands.
