  1. Common Health Problems in India India’s healthcare is one of the fastest growing sectors, with patients from all over the world flocking to the country to get quality healthcare support. In India, the health problems and the available healthcare solutions greatly vary depending upon the location. While the urban areas receive good healthcare solutions, the rural areas fall-behind greatly because of inaccessiblity of healthcare services. We have listed some of the common healthcare problems faced by Indians. ● Cancer It has been estimated that 1 in every 10 Indians have cancer. Patients of different age groups are prone to cancer and it has been one of the major diseases that kills Indians annually. Breast cancer and lung cancer are the most common types of cancer that afflicts Indian on an average. Apart from Oncology treatment centres, home care nursing services are available in theurban areas for patients to recover peacefully at their homes. ● Infertility Although Infertility is not a disease, a large population of Indians are becoming prone to the condition due to the changing lifestyle. It has been estimated that around 14% of Indian couples battle infertility and go for consqeuent fertility treatment plans to overcome it. The infertility ratio is higher in the urban areas compared to the rural areas.

  2. ● Cataract Cataract is the most common condition that causes visual impairment globally. In India, the geriatric population suffer from cataract, which causes partial and full blindness. Although the required healthcare solutions to overcome cataract are available across the country, the lack of timely knowledge in the rural areas is a big contributor to the illness. ● Diabetes Diabetes has become the most threatening healthcare issue in India. Globally, 1 in every 6 diabetic patient is from India, making the country the largest diabetic population. The side effects of an untreated diabetic condition can often be fatal. ● Heart Diseases Cardiovascualr diseases are the most common in the country with over 55 million people having some kind of heart diseases.
