QUE SIGNIFIE LA MARCHE VERTE La Marche verte désigne une grande marche, présentée comme pacifique, partie du Maroc vers le territoire du Sahara occidental et lancée par le roi du Maroc Hassan II le 6 novembre 1975 dans le but d'annexer ce territoire occupé par l'Espagne. À la différence de la Cour internationale de justice1, les Marocains considèrent cette marche comme une récupération de leurs territoires historiques. Dans le même temps, les Forces armées royales marocaines interviennent secrètement dans l'est du territoire, pour occuper plusieurspointsstratégiques et attaquer le Front Polisario, un mouvement indépendantiste sahraoui qui rejette les revendications du Maroc.

  3. Hassan II sollicita le départ de 350 000 volontaires civils marocains portant chacun un Coran et un drapeau marocain en direction du Sahara occidental duquel l'Espagne ne voulait pas se retirer.
