In early trade on Thursday, Indian equities indexes sank substantially. Today, the domestic indexes ended a nine-day winning streak as technology stocks dragged. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 762 points, or 0.26 per cent, to 59,669, while the wider NSE Nifty was down 192 points, or 1.08 per cent, to 17,636. Mid- and small-cap stocks fell, with the Nifty Midcap 100 falling 0.47 per cent and the small-cap index falling 0.50 per cent. <br>

Mid- and small-cap stocks fell, with the Nifty Midcap 100 falling 0.47 per cent and the small-cap index falling 0.50 per cent.    April 17, 2023 On Friday (April 14, 2023), all three main US market indices ?nished down. Nonetheless, Asian equities were trading mixed today. Six of the 15 sector indices tracked by the National Stock Exchange were in the red. Nifty IT sub-indexes were underperforming the NSE platform, dropping as high as 6.25 per cent.  Finance Minister Says, the Indian Economy Would Grow at a 7% annual rate in 2023 On a stock-by-stock basis, Infosys was the biggest Nifty loss, falling 12.06 per cent to Rs 1,221.15. Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, TCS, and Wipro all had a 6.46 per cent drop.   KIOCL Ltd, on the other hand, increased by 11.85%. Tanla Platforms and HLE Glascoat increased by up to 7.38 per cent. On the BSE, the overall market breadth was poor, with 1,261 shares rising and 1,679 falling.   Most Viewed Infosys, HCL Tech, TechM, HDFC twins (HDFC and HDFC Bank), Bharti Airtel, TCS, L&T, Wipro, and ITC were among the top laggards on the 30-share BSE index.    February 15, 2023 Adani Group equities are the Subject of This Week  On the other hand, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, PowerGrid, UltraTech Cement, and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) were all up. Foreign institutional investors bought Rs 222 crore in shares on Thursday, extending their buying streak to the eleventh day. On Thursday, the Sensex rose 38 points, or 0.06 per cent, to 60,431, while the Nifty gained 16 points, or 0.09 per cent, to 17,828.
