  2. brand’s Stand Up Against Street Harassment campaign was introduced on March 8, 2020.  Encouragement to get trained to combat street harassment is given in the song “Stand Up.”  On March 8, 2020, L’Oréal Paris and Right to Be (previously Hollaback!), an international NGO with extensive experience combating harassment in all its manifestations, together launched the Stand Up Against Street Harassment programme.   By the end of 2022, Right To Be’s 5D’s technique will have been taught to 1.5 million people through Stand Up Against Street Harassment, a campaign dedicated to preventing street harassment.  Through its dedicated Stand-Up website, the brand continues to urge people to support this vital cause by joining forces with them and encouraging them to receive training to combat street harassment.   In 41 different countries, Stand Up has taught more than 950,000 individuals to date.  L’Oréal Paris and research partner Ipsos will release the 몭ndings of a ground- breaking worldwide social impact study in April 2022.   The Stand Up Against Street Harassment programme has empowered participants, providing them the skills and authority to move con몭dently through the streets, according to this social impact study.  Compared to before their Stand-Up training, 97% of participants felt more empowered to intervene when they observe street harassment.  People who individually encounter street harassment after receiving training report feeling less vulnerable (19%), terri몭ed (20%), uneasy (46%) and worried (25%), compared to when they did so before receiving training.  The survey shows how powerful the Stand-Up training is in in몭uencing witnesses’ attitudes and enabling them to act safely.  Companies Saying  L’Oréal Paris spokesperson Eva Longoria think that every woman has the right to feel worthwhile, yet 80% of women worldwide have at some point in their life been the victim of street harassment. 

  3. It’s time to make a shift. Everyone can join together in unity to gain the skills to halt undesirable behaviour and reclaim  power as changemakers in our communities through initiatives like Stand Up.  L’Oréal Paris’s Global Brand President, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse says street harassment is still a major problem. All need to usher in a new era of solidarity and make it easier for all women to feel secure in public places now more than ever.   In order to address this signi몭cant social issue, L’Oreal have continued to develop training program and encouraged our spokespeople, who are actual women of worth, to participate.   This is because they are a brand that has always supported women’s empowerment.
