  1. PASSWORD PROTECTION TIPS SEPTEMBER 5, 2018   During this time of hacking, phishing, and other kind of cyber attacks may lead to the loss of data and other important information like- personal or banking information and therefore, to protect you from this online fraudulent activities password security is a key to protect your information safe from these unwanted users. Five Things to know when it comes to Password Protection: 1. The longer, the better! It is always recommended to use a long password atleast more than 6 characters with a mix of alphabets, numbers & special characters as it takes a longer time to crack these kind of password by the security breacher. 2. Variety, Variety, Variety!

  2. If your password only uses one type of character, then you should definitely update it! Using one form of character is not a secure practice, do not just use letters. Make sure your password (for anything) includes at least one capital letter, number, and special character. The more variety you use the more complex your password is to be hacked. Try to use a variety of password like- Capital letters, numbers, and special characters for more security as using a password with only characters in it is not a secure practice therefore, its very important to change your password in every 10-15 days. 3. Two is better than One It is always better to use a 2 factor or multi-factor authentication if a service allows that facility as nowadays, many services like- google, and many banking applications, etc allows the 2 factor authentication to aware you from any unauthorized access to your a/c. Not only this, it also sends an immediate message on your registered mobile no. as well as an e-mail notifying the location and device from which the access has been made so, that it could recognize that it was actually you. 4. Be Aware of “Phishing” Be aware from opening any kind of random link through e-mail or text (even if it is from a legitimate site) especially those links asking you to login to

  3. change your current information or asking for your personal information. These kind of activities are intentionally done to steal the sensitive information stored online which might be your personal or financial details or your professional information. These kind of activities are called Phishing and they are usually targeted to some online users. The scammers will take whatever information you typed in and use this to hack your accounts. A way to prevent this if you have any doubts is to manually type the URL into your browser yourself and see what your account says. 5. Use More than One Password As already told, it is advisable to change your passwords in every 15-30 days to prevent the hackers from attaining unauthorized access to your a/c and information.
