  2. Place the router close to the internet. Position your DIR-605L near your Internet-connected modem and PC. Keep the router in an open area at your office or home for better wireless coverage. Disconnect the modem’s Ethernet cable connected to your computer. Insert the Ethernet cable to the rear end of the D-Link router. Connect the power adapter to the router and connect it to the power supply. You will now see the LED blinking, which means it is powered ON. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the back of the router and the other end of the Ethernet cable to the computer.
