The main deity of the Karmanghat Hanuman mandir is Lord Hanuman, who is a revered figure in Hinduism. Hanuman is known for his strength, devotion, and unwavering loyalty to Lord Rama, and he is considered to be a symbol of courage and selflessness. The temple is also renowned because when Mughal emperor Aurangzeb learned about it, he went himself to break down the temple. However, as he approached the temple threshold with a crowbar, he heard a deafening roar rumbling like thunder. And the crowbar slipped from his hands as he was shaking in fear. History of Karmanghat Hanuman Temple This Hanuman temple has a fascinating origin story. According to legend, the temple was built in the 12th century A.D., approximately in 1143. While King Prola II of the Kakatiya dynasty was out hunting in a dense forest, he heard the chanting of Lord Rama’s name.

  2. Surprised, he followed the sound and found a stone idol of God Hanuman, in a seated posture, emitting the voice. The king paid his respects to the deity and returned to his capital. That night, Lord Hanuman appeared in his dream and instructed him to build a temple at the site. Karmanghat Hanuman Temple timings The temple is open to visitors every day, and there is no entry fee. However, visitors are expected to dress modestly and show respect for the deities and the sanctity of the temple.

Hanuman Temple Karmanghat is open daily from 6 a.m. to 12 noon and 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Except for Tuesdays and Saturdays, when it is open from 5.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Karmanghat Hanuman Temple is not just a place of worship, but also a symbol of the rich cultural heritage.
