Dual fuel cookers are great for gas users. They combine the speed and flexibility of a gas oven with the convenience of an electric oven. These options are not the only ones available. There are also double oven cookers that allow you to cook in both the ovens simultaneously; single oven with separate grill; allowing for you to use the oven and grill at the exact same time; and single oven and grill. Fan ovens can be used to cook faster than traditional ovens. There are many options to choose from when it comes to the additional features of a modern range cooker. These are some examples of the major choices: Read More: Ovens buying guide

  2. Conventional ovens Gas or electric ovens are available. The heat from a conventional gas oven comes from the burner located at the bottom of the oven. The heat from an electric oven is generated by elements at the bottom and top of the oven. A conventional oven heats up to produce a higher temperature towards its top and a lower temperature towards its bottom. A conventional oven's heat zones make it possible to cook a variety of dishes at different temperatures. Conventional ovens can be used for traditional cooking, such as roast meat and cakes. Electric grill An electric grill can have one or two elements and, depending on its model, may have variable or fixed heat settings. Variable grills have heat output that can be adjusted by switching between low heat or high heat settings. Ovens with fan assisted heating.

  3. Fanned ovens have even temperatures because the fan circulates heat. This makes it ideal for batch baking. The cavity's heat source is the element at the back. Fanned grilling Available in ovens with multifunction and fanned ovens. The heat comes from the grill element. Hot air circulates around the food so there's no need to turn while grilling. It is ideal for grilling meats, as it allows the meat to cook and brown. Base and fan cooking Only select multifunction ovens have this feature. The fan circulates heat throughout the oven from the fan, which is located in the oven's base. This is a great way to make moist dishes, where both the base and filling need to be cooked evenly. Hotplate lids Hotplate lids are available for some range and freestanding cookers. These lids can be toughened glass for some models or solid cast iron for our Farm style range. The safety feature on gas hotplate lids (on dual fuel or gas models) is that the hotplate burner will turn off if it is closed accidentally.
