  1. Collaborative Robots – Are They New Skilled Workers? Many machine shops and sheet-metal houses mention the lack of skilled workers as the major obstacle in their way to growth. Even when there’s a good supply of skilled people and capital is not a problem, risk remains. This comes from the competition from countries where industries are able to get low-cost labor. Survival in the global market where competitors can emerge as a winner at a fraction of your cost is really challenging. What’s the solution then? Automation – it is the only obvious solution for many companies including manufacturing companies. Industrial collaborative robots can make work like load and unload parts from machine cells easier. Collaborative robots or cobots can perform a number of jobs – join components, apply paint, load, unload, and many more. Uncertainty in the field There could be some: In manufacturing units with lower production volume, automation may be seemingly dubious It’s assumed that industrial robots are cost-intensive They require skilled technicians for programming, guarding, maintenance and other repair There may be chances of them hurting their human coworkers

  2. There could be even more. Realistic solutions A few years ago, robotics was a much hyped topic. Later on, many collaborative robots companies came forward to put their efforts to solve hassles with much ease. From assembly to operating cobots, everything has become so simple that you would love to introduce them to their human coworkers. Benefits: Installation takes less than hour, simple interface makes it easier for anyone to use and command, the machine workers are light enough to be moved anywhere as needed, and finally, the price is far lower than early robots with similar specifications. The future of collaborative robots or cobots is really bright. The hype around them is all true for right reasons. Cobots are simply perfect to bring automation to companies at reasonable expenses. No matter what size of your business is, you can enjoy great benefits by allowing them on the production floor. In fact, their use is increasing beyond manufacturing units. They are successfully being employed by food industries, warehouse activities, lab and scientific applications for lifting and other jobs. Serious problems like the lack of qualified workers are easily addressed by cobots in traditional manufacturing spaces. They have amazing abilities to complete a variety of tasks, which was until now believed to be done by humans only. Cobots have been successful in alleviating worker related problems for many manufacturers that also include strenuous, tedious and outright dangerous operations like heavy lifting.
