  1. Seat Belts and Safety Restraint Systems for Aircraft Generally, people remain very diligent about their safety while flying in an airplane. They adhere to the passenger safety checklist which includes seats and restraint systems. Putting on a seat belt and shoulder harness is one of the first things that happens after getting into an airplane. Wearing a seatbelt is essential to maintaining safety while flying. There have been several unfortunate incidents, some resulting in aircrafts flipping over. With safety devices on, passengers and crew can expect to remain safe. Since no one can predict unfortunate incidents, it’s important to utilizeseat belts and restraint systems. You never know when it can come to your rescue. This is why aircrafts are always equipped with safety features, to provide passengers with safe air travel. In fact, the use of seat belts and harnesses can reduce major injuries as well as fatalities to a great extent. Many frequent flyers can narrate their stories on how some incidents or accidents resulted in only minor injuries. Without the use of safety harnesses, the occupants and crew would have faced greater injuries. Safety restraints FAA requires all the passengers to properly wear seat belts and harnesses during takeoff and landing. These safety systems can offer protection only when they are worn properly. Clearly, a slack restraint system can’t protect anyone during an impact. There’s simple science behind it – body in motion stays in motion until the slack is taken up. Simply put, restraint systems should be worn properly, tight within reasonable comfort levels to minimize potential injuries. Checking the safety restraints They should not be frayed, broken or torn Seamless buckle release Restraint attach points shouldn’t be damaged Belts must follow safety standards, and so on Aircraft Belts, Inc (ABI), is committed to ensure aircraft safety provides the best crew and passenger restraint systems.
