Can I adjust my Brother Printer machine Sleep Time setting?

You can choose how long the brother printer machine must be idle before it goes into sleep mode. When the machine receives a fax, computer data, or makes a copy the timer will be reset. The default setting is 3 minutes. When the machine is in Sleep mode the LCD will display 'Sleep'.

  1. Can I adjust my Brother Printer machine Sleep Time setting? You can choose how long the brother printer machine must be idle before it goes into sleep mode. When the machine receives a fax, computer data, or makes a copy the timer will be reset. The default setting is 3 minutes. When the machine is in Sleep mode the LCD will display 'Sleep'. To adjust the Sleep Time setting, follow the steps listed below: Windows 1.Open the Printers folder. 2.Right click on the Brother printer driver and left click on Printing Preferences. 3.Click the Advanced tab. 4.Click the Other Print Options button.

  2. 5.Choose Sleep Time on the left side.

  3. 6.Select the desired sleep time setting. -Auto (Intelligent Sleep Mode)automatically adjusts to the most suitable timeout setting depending on the frequency of your machine use. -Printer Defaultadjusts the timeout setting to be reset to the specific time set at the factory. -Manualsets the timeout setting to the amount of time in minutes you enter. 7.Click OK => Apply => OK. Macintosh 1.From the application, click File and Print. 2.If Printer and Presets are the only options on the Print window, click the Show Details button to the bottom to expand the Print window.

  4. 3.Click on the drop menu (Copies & Pages or the name of the application) and click on Print Settings. 4.Click the right triangle mark next to Advanced to display the advanced print settings.
