  2. Heating up home with the help of electric heaters increases the electricity bills staggeringly. Other options like kerosene heating are also available but again the main drawback is it produces smoke, the smell is intense and cannot be left on its own. Hence, the best alternative is the wood fire heaters.

  3. Wood burning stoves can be installed easily. The smoke can be guided outside via the smokestack. However, the stoves get extremely hot, hence, certain precautions must be paid attention to while installing them. It is advisable to set a masonite wall behind the tool. Concrete should never be used as it may get hot and explode. In addition to this, the feet of the unit may also get warm.

  4. In old homes, there is often a place for the fireplace. You may utilise this space for installing the wood heater. This way you can utilize the space in the best possible way.

  5. The next most important task is to select the right type of wood to burn. This thing should not be taken lightly. Just make sure not to burn Eucalyptus and pine inside the house as these two kinds of wood are strictly prohibited to use. Other woods that are aromatic in nature like apple, mesquite and mahogany are most loved by the people.
