  1. Electric Bikes Versus Regular Bikes People always have so many questions about electronic bikes! They want to know exactly what they're and how they function. One of the most frequently asked questions is what they are and how they differ from normal bikes. We provide free delivery to your home when you buy an ebike on the internet. Or you can click and collect your bike in-store. In order to help you decide the type of bike that is the best fit for you, we've examined electric bikes with traditional bikes to see how and why they're different, and which parts are identical. Design and appearance The first thing you'll observe about electric bikes is that they appear a lot like normal bicycles. E- bikes are often compared to scooters. However, they're actually bikes with electric motors. Electric bikes come with the same handlebars, wheels and body geometry as regular mechanical bikes. All mechanical components, including brakes and pedals, work exactly the same way. The only difference in appearance is that of an electric drive system. It is comprised of an electric motor, an electric battery as well as a controller or display screen. The battery is powered by the motor and helps move the bike forward with assistance when you pedal. Repairs and maintenance We've already mentioned that all the components of an electric bicycle are the identical to regular bikes. The bike is looked after similarly to regular bicycles. This covers servicing, maintenance and repairs. You can bring your electric bicycle to the same repair shop that repairs bikes of other types in the event of a problem. The repairs will also be reasonably priced. This only changes if there is an issue in the electrical components. If that happens it is necessary to get an expert in e-bikes look at it. But, problems with the electrical system are extremely rare and are covered by a warranty. Experiential riding This is the most common issue that people ask! What does it feel like to ride an electric bicycle? What's the difference to an ordinary bicycle? The simple answer is that the e-bike's riding experience is much like riding any other bike. Once you're on, you begin pedalling, and then the electric motor kicks in. The transition is typically so seamless that you won't even notice. The experience of riding an electric bike does not alter. It just makes it easier. It is possible to ride the bike by shifting the pedals gently. It's easy to get started from a sitting place. It is easy to glide effortlessly up hills and deal with powerful headwinds, without getting exhausted.

  2. You can alter the pedal assistance of the motor that will alter the way the bike rides. If you lower the speed, the legs do the bulk of the work. If you set it to maximum power, you will be able to cycle along with your legs basically going through the pedalling motions and still move quickly and easily. Speed Do electric bikes have more power than regular bikes due to the electric assistance? This question is dependent on the speed you ride at. The motor on the e-bike can achieve speeds up to 25 km/h (15.5 miles) in line with EU regulations. You will need to push yourself to reach speeds higher than what the motor can manage. The electric motor cannot assist you in achieving speed. For instance, electric bikes are not able to provide aid in races. This is the reason why they are not considered "cheating". However, if you're not racing, e-bikes can make your ride faster. They allow you to pedal effortlessly, so you don’t get tired. It is also easier to maintain a constant speed and return to speed when you stop to reduce the time you travel. However, they are built for easy cycling, not for breaking speed records. Rules and regulations Another concern that people are often faced with is the fact that electric bikes are restricted by regulations and rules. In contrast to normal bikes, electric bikes are considered to be motorised transportation. This means they are subject to laws governing their power and speed limitations. But that won't affect the rider. The only regulation you need to be aware of is that you have to be at least 14 years old over to be able to ride an electric bicycle. The rules for electric bikes function exactly the same like regular bikes. You don't require a licence to ride an electric bike as they do not need to be registered and they don't need tax on vehicles or insurance. E-bikes are able to be used in all bicycle routes and can be used any other place you'd use a regular bike.
