Though both terms can be used interchangeably among some people, there are variations that indicate the two items do differ from one another.

  2. Deodorant Spray: • Men's deodorant spray is specifically designed for men to combat body odor. It is more concentrated and often contains an alcohol content of 65%. Though the active ingredient "masking agent" (in this case fragrance) can vary among products, there is no suggestion on the bottle that it is to be used as a fragrance on the body; rather as a treatment for sweaty male flesh . The active ingredients can include an alcohol-based product (i.e. alcohol content 65%) or a non-alcohol based product. The former has the potential to dry out the skin but is effective in dissipating body odor.
