  2. The trend toward sustainability in the air cargo industry has spread around the world. It is a result of digitalization.Lars Winkelbauer discusses the fact that a big change has happened in the industry. People are now using more environmentally friendly methods that will last longer. Using the newest technologies is closely linked to the newest trends and inventions. The goal of these is to make customers happy and protect the environment while also greatly increasing productivity and efficiency. The global supply chains are changing because more and more companies are using AI, automation, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

  3. Besides that, the pandemic has also caused the Air Cargo business to become more digital. A huge amount of paperwork was cut down. Companies switched to using electronic air waybills (AWB) and SaaS for management. This move has a notable impact on the environment. The lack of paper in trade has made it safer by preventing mistakes, data loss, and cargo theft. What steps has the air cargo industry taken to be more environmentally friendly? The Air Cargo Industry has adopted some practices.

  4. Efficient planes: Carriers, like FedEx and UPS have changed to more fuel-efficient planes. So that they have less effect on the environment as awareness grows. Aside from that, air carriers usually get packages to customers quickly. • Growing e-freight: The long paperwork is the most boring and time-consuming task. As e-freight grows, all the paperwork is done digitally, from the time the goods are shipped to the time they are delivered. The process is quick and easy because there is no paper involved. The Air Cargo Industry has benefited from this change from the old way of doing things.

  5. Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI has changed the Air Cargo Industry by helping airlines. These help predict future rates and make changes to their schedules automatically when the market changes. Errors and mistakes are much less common now that there is real-time response. Also, robots and drones powered by AI are being used to manage inventory and deliveries to cut down on the amount of work that needs to be done by hand. In order to make customers happier, the industry has added chat bots and virtual assistants to make responses faster and more effective.

  6. Warehouse Automation: Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and robot picking systems are making warehouse automation possible by cutting down on mistakes and manual labor. In addition to speeding things up, this gives the process an edge. Companies are also keeping an eye on the emissions of different SAFs to make sure they use the best ones.
