  1. List of advanced features in tractors Tractors have been evolved over the years. Earlier tractors were used only in Industries and to carry heavy loads. Later with the revolution tractors were used in farming. This history of tractors dates back to 1000’s of years ago. Get more information about Mahindra Over the year manufacturer have made sure to provide up-gradation in technology and features in tractors considering the diverse needs of the buyers. Now the major buyers of these tractors are not only from the traditional agriculture industry but also from the different types of sectors like organic farming, horticulture and etc. Other factors such as geographical, financial, and demographical conditions play a vital role. With these challenges, the manufacturers are trying to roll out the best alternatives for the tractors. Today with more than 30 different manufacturers of tractors in India. Brands are researching various different technological alternatives to provide the best product that is sustainable for the customers and brands too. The journey of these advanced features began right from when tractors were equipped with electronics and have been going on as autonomous tractors are designed. So let have a look at the most advanced features of tractors. Get extra facts about Mahindra tractors 1. Electric tractors This is not just an advancement in the tractor industry but a revolution in terms of engineering, technology, and mechanization. Electric vehicles are in rise currently as they are proven to be more practical and financially viable options to other options. These Electric technology has been used in tractors right now as it can be used by farmers to decrease the running cost and carry on activities more efficiently.

  2. Electric tractors not only are easy to operate but as well provide great performance. This technology will surely grow in India as the infrastructure is developed and more farmers switch to this option. Currently, Sonalika has launched its first Electric tractor in India modeled named Sonalika tiger which is priced at approx Rs. 6 Lakhs. The future is turning toward electric and this industry also shall adapt it. 2. A/C cabin Earlier tractors in India were considered a luxury in India as they were not affordable means of farm mechanization. Later on with increasing income and spending power farmers switched to tractors as they provided ease in farming and carrying out other activities. Later on, comfort was given importance in farming and as updates were brought into the tractors. Nowadays, with increasing demand and long working hours, farmers require a sense of comfort while working. For this same reason, A/C cabins are included in the majority of tractors. Airconditioning is provided in higher HP tractors as the engines are capable enough to handle the load of A/c. With A/c many other features are also included to provide maximum efficiency from the tractors. These features include electronically adjustable sheets, extra seats, monitoring systems, and entertainment systems. Get extra facts about Mahindra tractors 3. CNG tractors As tractors are used for different needs. Tractors are also designed as per different needs. The majority of tractor buyers use tractors for land preparation and purely for agriculture but there is also some percentage of buyers who use tractors for haulage and to cover distances. These usages are different and need to be optimized accordingly.

  3. Hence now manufacturers are trying to roll out CNG tractors that are fuel-efficient and can help farmers financially. These tractors however have a low maintenance cost but are not built for heavy-duty purposes. CNG or Compressed natural gas is used with petrol engines which help in providing greater mileage but reduce the power capacity of the engine. Get more information about Mahindra 4. Autonomous tractors With the innovation and development of computers across the world. Robots and computers have been programmed to be smarter than human beings. This is been possible through AI (Artificial intelligence) and ML (Machine learning). This technology has been tried to use in agriculture as scientists and engineers carry out a deeper study on agriculture patterns. With this, the tractors can easily be automated to carry on daily agricultural activities like preparing land, harvesting, and transportation. The tractors are tuned with data that is configured as per the requirements of a specific farm and then tractors can calculate and carry on the activities independently. 5. Oil Immersed breaks Oil-immersed breaks have been in use in tractors of varied ranges for a very long time. Traditionally braking systems were of dry type and as result, they used to wear off quickly. With the invention of oil-immersed breaks, this has been controlled now. Do you remember that quirky sound when you applied the break in your tractor? Yes, that is what dry-breaking systems sound like. But now in Oil Immersed breaks as the name suggests the breaks are flooded with oil. This helps in decreasing the friction among the moving parts and thereby keeping the brakes cool to provide great feedback. As parts are moving less now. The maintenance costs are also reduced. This feature has revolutionized the tractor industry. Dual Clutch The Clutch is an important moving part in the functioning of a tractor. It helps in transmitting the power from the engine to the transmission. At this stage, the transmission and the PTO were linked to a single clutch leading to excessive wear and tear. Ow to reduce this dual-clutch technology was introduced here one clutch was engaged for the transmission and the second one for PTO. Dual-clutch is efficient for using PTO-based equipments. Get more information about Mahindra Planetary Gearbox As tractors are operated majorly on farms and uneven surfaces tractors need a rear- wheel-drive option so that it is easy to power the rear wheel and operate. But as tractors are used in different terrains this technology is used to lock the differential and use only one wheel to power the tractor. This helps in moving the tractor from one wheel while the other wheel is stuck. This type of gearbox is seen in higher HP category of tractors. 6. 7. These are the major advanced features that are helping to revolutionize the tractor industry. Additionally, Hybrid engines are also expected to enter into the market and help this industry grow and touch new heights. Get extra facts about Mahindra tractors
