  1. What is PTFE used for? Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), commonly known by the brand name Teflon, is a synthetic fluoropolymer material with a wide range of applications. Some of its most common uses include: Non-stick cookware: PTFE Guide Wire is used to create non-stick coatings on cookware, bakeware, and other kitchen tools, as it is highly resistant to sticking and staining. Sealing and Lubrication: PTFE is often used in sealing applications, such as gaskets and O-rings, due to its excellent resistance to chemicals and extreme temperatures.
