Arris TG2472G routers include a very basic firewall that helps protect your home network form unwanted access from the internet. Since this firewall blocks incoming connections you may need open a port through it for certain games and applications. This process of opening a port is frequently called a port forward, since you are forwarding a port from the internet to your home network.   2. Arris TG2472G routers include a very basic firewall that helps protect your home network form unwanted access from the internet. Since this firewall blocks incoming connections you may need open a port through it for certain games and applications. This process of opening a port is frequently called a port forward, since you are forwarding a port from the internet to your home network.

  3. Step 1 Log into your gateway router with your username and password (default IP: 192.168.0.1 - default username: admin, default password: password)

  4. Step 2 Click on the "Firewall" tab

  5. Step 3 • Click on "Virtual Servers/Port Forwarding"

  6. Step 4 Click on "Add" button

  7. Step 5 Select inbound HTTP port range from "80 to 80"

  8. Step 6 Select "TCP"

  9. Step 7 Enter the static IP of the computer upon which you are running cFos Personal Net into the "Private IP Address" field

  10. Step 8 Click on "Add Virtual Server"

  11. Step 9 You can now see the new virtual HTTP server
