Cannabinol, or CBN, is one of the phytocannabinoids present in cannabis. It is mainly produced when THC undergoes nonenzymatic oxidation. According to the diagram, two hydrogen atoms are all that separate CBN from THC. For example, light, oxygen, or heat can degrade (oxidize) THC because it contains two more hydrogens than CBN does.
