  1. Vaginal VVF Repair VVF stands for Vesico Vaginal Fistula. Fistula is a link between two organs caused by a hole in the organ. VVF is caused by connection between the bladder and the vagina. A whole happens in both the bladder and the vagina. The correction of this Vesico Vaginal Fistula is known as vaginal VVF repair. Reason for the procedure This kind of fistula may induce uncontrollable urine leaking via the vagina. It may also be uncomfortable and raise the risk of infection. The fistula will be closed during surgery, putting an end to the problems. Procedure Description The procedure may be performed either vaginally or via a belly incision. A scope may also be inserted via the urethra into the bladder. • Transvaginal-A tiny tube will be placed into the urethra. A speculum will also be used to open the vagina. The doctor will find the fistula. The walls of the fistula will be removed. Sutures will be used to seal the wound. Special dressings may be used in the vagina. • Transabdominal-A tiny incision will be made in the lower abdomen. The doctor will find the fistula. The fistula lining will be cut and removed. The tissue will be relocated to separate the urinary system from the vagina. After that, the vaginal and urinary tract walls will be closed. The stomach wall will be closed. Immediately after the procedure, a catheter may be inserted into the urethra to empty the bladder. It will be relocated when you awaken.
