  1. What is Hope Serving? Hope Serving is a one of a kind experience that encourages learning and critical thinking through hands-on service, community involvement, civic and social justice education. This program inspires members to engage deeply with the Service for Sight mission and build lasting relationships with sisters from all across North America. Hope Serving fully-funded by Delta Gamma and is of no cost to attendees.

  2. Hope Serving is Going Global! Where: Abu Abbas Sabti Center for the visually impaired Marrakesh, Morocco When: January 1-9, 2020 (includes travel days)

  3. Selection Criteria • Initiated Delta Gamma member in good standing • Alumnae: paid annual per capita dues for the fiscal year • Collegian: in good standing in your chapter • Motivation to serve, prior service experience is not necessary • Physically able and willing to serve on site

  4. Service for Sight Hours Credit In addition to making wonderful memories, participants will receive service hours! • All participants will receive 50 service hours for completing the program • Collegians will be exempt the following academic year from the service hour requirement

  5. Testimonial: Connect with Morocco “I feel so grateful to have been allowed to embark on this once-in-a-lifetime journey in Morocco… Experiencing the radiating love, hospitality, and culture of Morocco quickly conquered all of my previous doubts and transformed them into a deep admiration for such an incredible community of people. I have been warmly welcomed and moved by the countless Moroccans and am overwhelmed by their desire to host us as their guests despite any language or cultural barriers.” – Lauren Sanchez, Beta Chi-Denver, collegian, 2019 Hope Serving participant

  6. Testimonial: Build Authentic Relationships “It is amazing to me that Delta Gamma brought us together. My hope and faith in sisterhood is restored. These women are brilliant, self-aware, poised, curious, resilient, and brave. They are the women I aspire to be and have allowed me to learn and grow from and with them. I feel so much peace in knowing that these are the women who are “Doing Good” and representing Delta Gamma around the world.” – Lauren Delzell, Tau-Iowa, alumna, 2019 Hope Serving participant
