  1. UK New Travel Updates - Red List ! News for International Students | Study In UK 2022 Hello friends, With the advent of the new COVID-19 virus Omicron, there have been a lot of changes in the travel rules in most countries. Today, we will talk about such changes that can take place in the UK and how your travel plans can be affected. Firstly, the Omicron virus is only detected in Scotland in the UK. Earlier there were only 3 cases detected which has increased to 50 cases as of now in the UK. As far as India is concerned, this virus is heavily detected here as well and hence there has been a lot of changes because of this. Face mask in mandatory in UK: When you are traveling in the UK, you must wear a face mask. If you are caught traveling without a mask, you’ll be penalized heavily. Changes in India:

  2. All this while when you were traveling in India, you’d have needed a vaccination certificate, which will now be replaced with a RTPCR report which will be mandatory when you are traveling to any other state. Red list: The red list is extending as far as the UK is concerned. Earlier, there were only 4 countries that were in the red list for the UK but now the number has increased. Now there are 15 countries that are included in the list. The good news though is that there are no countries in Asia that are included in that list. Passenger health locator form: Also do remember that according to the travel rules, while traveling, one needs to fill up the passenger health locator form, besides carrying the negative RTPCR report. This test needs to be completed within 72 hours before traveling to the UK. The further changes: Once you’ve landed in the UK, you’ll need to go through certain guidelines, which are applicable to most countries. You’ll again need to undergo a COVID test once you’ve reached the UK. You’ll need to be in quarantine till the time you don’t get the test report. Whatever time it will require, be it 24 or 48 hours, you’ll need to fill that time in your passenger health locator form. You need to mention the place where you’ll be staying during the quarantine period and you won’t be allowed to travel anywhere till the time your report comes out. Remember that if the PCR test results are positive, you will not need to quarantine. However, if it’s negative, you’ll need to be in quarantine till your next report comes out as a positive. Even if you're only in the country for a couple of days, you'll still have to pay for and schedule a COVID-19 test once you're there. Conclusion: Apart from this, the May Intake admissions are open in the UK. So, if you are interested, check online the list of universities that are offering admission and fill your application accordingly according to their guidelines.

  3. If you need expert assistance on admission, contact an online counselor so that they can help you to make your admission process smooth. We hope this information has been helpful. Until next time, bye.
