  1. Opensea We're working around the clock at OpenSea to bring more people into the world of NFTs. Imitation and plagiarism are growing issues that undermine trust in the NFT ecosystem as it evolves. While our efforts are just getting started, we're excited to announce a number of changes aimed at improving authenticity on OpenSea. Our modifications are divided into two categories: An improved account verification and collection badging system that expands the number of creators who can be verified. Revised Method of Verification By surfacing genuine accounts and content more prominently, account verification and collection badging on OpenSea aim to assist both creators and collectors. However, our community has reported that the requirements for verification and badges are ambiguous, and the procedure is slow and onerous. We're introducing the following four system changes:

We will initially invite any account with more than 100 ETH in collection volume to apply; as we learn more, we will gradually expand eligibility and invitations beyond this initial tranche.
