  1. Major Dos and Don’ts of Mixing Flooring Dos of Mixing Flooring What’s your idea of ideal flooring in your home? Well, there are so many different flooring options available these days. And people generally pick one of them for their entire home according to their taste, architecture, and budget. But have you ever thought about mixing the floors in your home? Well, mix flooring or mixing flooring simply means having a combination of two or more kinds of floorings in the same space – same house, same floor, and even same room. Use Color Wheel to Match Colors When it comes to mixing and matching the colors of the floors, color wheels are the best options. You can check a color wheel online or get one with the flooring contractors or experts of your region. However, never try to mix and match the colors on your own, no matter how expert you are at mixing the colors of your clothes. Do remember that flooring is a huge investment and you cannot get it done just every other week.

So make sure you go for only one kind of floor in one space or room of your home.

  3. Consider Your Home Architecture Always keep track of your home architecture – the walls, the ceiling, the paints, etc. while you go for the floors in your home. You may have different kinds of flooring options, such as wooden floors, stone floors, carpet floors, tile floors, and cemented floors, etc. but you need to consider the architecture of your home before choosing any or even a couple of them.
