  26. The Legend of the ez-MAC

  27. ez-MAC • What is ez-MAC? • ez-MAC is an Microsoft Excel based TM tool for easy MAC data entry. • The Excel workbooks are pre-formatted to look like a printed Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) • Who needs it? • Any group who needs to update a MAC to the new 2-level maintenance, Aviation or Ground Based versions. • What does it do? • MAC content is exported to a 2361 compliant eXtensible Markup Language (XML) work package

  28. Features: Fast XML export Quick multi-row insert Quick clear to create a new MAC ez-MAC mac Tab

  29. Each “Ref Code” will be associated with the Equipment Ref Codes inserted on the mac tab. ez-MAC tools Tab

  30. “Remark Codes” are associated with the Remark Codes entered on the mac tab. ez-MAC remarks Tab

  31. Since many users already have existing data in powerLOG, we added an LCN column to the workbooks. By entering the applicable LCN, data can be updated easily. If LCNs are unknown, simply ignore the first column. ez-MAC Existing Data

  32. After data entry is complete, select the “Export” option on the menu. Select the applicable maintenance level of the work package Enter the publication number ez-MAC

  33. ez-MAC Presto!

  34. Although near-perfect, ez-MAC does not offer any error checking. Simply import the XML into powerLOG (using the 2361 MAC Importer). The importer will: Identify duplicate Functional Group Codes (FGC) Non-standard maintenance functions Duplicate tools and remarks Create/Edit LCN Structure And more! ez-MAC Now what?
