  1. SEMINAR ON THE TOPIC ‘NCERT’ Presented By MITHA MOHAN L

  2. NCERT • NCERT is an autonomous organization set up in 1961 by the Government of India. • The main work of NCERT is to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on qualitative improvement in school education.

  3. Objective of NCERT • Undertake, aid, promote and co ordinate research in areas related to school education. • Prepare and publish model text books, supplementary material, news letters, journals and other related literature. • Organize pre-service and in-service training of teachers. • Develop and disseminate innovative educational techniques and practices. • Act as a clearing house for ideas and information in matters related to school education. • Act as a nodal agency for achieving goals of universalisation of elementary education.

  4. NCERT Textbooks • NCERT offers easy access to the NCERT textbooks. • NCERT publishes all the books of class 1 to 12 online and the entire book or individual chapters can be downloaded provided the terms of use as mentioned in the Copyright Notice.

  5. Importance of NCERT Textbooks • Authentic information. • Clear and strong basics. • Easy language. • Standard questions. • Questions from NCERT books.

  6. NCERT Textbook Solutions • At the end of every chapter there are many questions given by NCERT experts. • These questions are very important for schools exam and other competitive exams like IIT JEE and Civil services. These questions are directly picked in competitive exams.

  7. Conclusion There is absolutely no harm in using additional books or reference books. But most of the times, it is seen that these reference books are actually full of concise notes, without providing any basic knowledge which can deviate the students from their target and confuse them. That is why, it is better to stick to NCERT books to perform outstanding in the board exams.

  8. THANK YOU
