  2. 1)- Block Mountains Features/Description of these mountains – Block Mountains is defined as the result of faulting caused by tensile and compressive forces. Block mountains are created when large areas are broken and displaced vertically , the uplifted blocks are called as horsts and lowered blocks are called graben . 3 Examples of these mountains are as follows :- 1-The Great African Rift Valley (valley floor is graben). 2-The Rhine Valley (graben) in Europe. 3- The Voges Mountains in Europe.

These mountains are formed as a result of the cooling down of lava and other materials that come out of a volcano during volcanic eruptions. 3 Examples of these mountains :- 1- Vesuvius, also called Mount Vesuvius or Italian Vesuvius 2- Mount Kilimanjaro. Located in Africa 3- Mount Fuji located in Japan
