  2. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, commonly known as MS Dhoni, is one of the most iconic figures in the world of cricket. Born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, India, Dhoni is a former Indian cricketer who is considered to be one of the greatest cricket captains of all time. He is known for his calm and composed demeanor, his innovative leadership style, and his exceptional wicket-keeping skills. Dhoni's cricketing career began in 2004, when he made his debut for the Indian cricket team in a One Day International (ODI) match against Bangladesh. He quickly made a name for himself as a talented wicket-keeper and a hard-hitting batsman, and his performances in the early years of his career earned him a place in the Indian team for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup. It was in 2007 that Dhoni was appointed the captain of the Indian cricket team, and he quickly proved himself to be a natural leader. Under his captaincy, India won the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in 2007, and then went on to win the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, ending a 28-year-long drought for India in the tournament. Dhoni played a crucial role in India's victory in the 2011 World Cup final, scoring an unbeaten 91 runs and leading the team to victory with a six off the last ball. Dhoni's captaincy style was characterized by his calm and composed demeanor, his tactical acumen, and his ability to inspire and motivate his teammates. He was known for his innovative decision-making and his willingness to take risks, such as promoting himself up the batting order in crucial situations. His leadership skills earned him the nickname of "Captain Cool". <[>Apart from his captaincy, Dhoni was also known for his exceptional wicket-keeping skills. He was one of the best wicket-keepers in the world, known for his lightning-fast reflexes and his ability to effect stumpings and run-outs from seemingly impossible positions. His agility and athleticism behind the stumps were matched only by his calmness and composure. Dhoni retired from international cricket in August 2020, bringing an end to a glittering career that spanned over 16 years. He played 350 ODIs, 90 Tests, and 98 T20Is for India, scoring over 17,000 runs and effecting more than 800 dismissals as a wicket- keeper. He remains the only captain in history to have won all three major ICC trophies - the ICC World Cup, the ICC World Twenty20, and the ICC Champions Trophy.

  3. Off the field, Dhoni is known for his humble and down-to-earth personality. He is a role model for millions of people in India and around the world, and his contributions to the game of cricket have earned him a place in the pantheon of all-time greats.
