GOLDEN ORIOLE EDUCATION PATHWAY PROGRAM: •Students who are not able to meet the direct entry requirements of Australian Universities can be offered ‘Pathway Programs.’ •These programs can be offered at undergraduate level and postgraduate level. •These are also called as ‘Packaged Programs’. •Pathway programs are a good opportunity to the students who fail to meet the direct entry requirements of the Australian universities. Types of Pathway Programs: •Academic Pathway Programs - Offered to the students not able to meet the Academic entry criteria. •English Language Programs - Offered to the students not able to meet the English language criteria. Academic Pathway Programs (Undergraduate): •Students scoring 55% to 64% in HSC can be offered these programs •They are also called as Diploma leading to Degree programs (D to D programs) •Students usually get admission in a college where they study a Diploma Program for one year (e.g. Diploma of Business) •After successful completion of Diploma, they progress to the second year of Bachelor’s degree, eventually completing their graduation in 3/4 years. GTE – GENUINE TEMPORARY ENTRANT •Genuine: The student should have genuine intentions of studying in Australia. •Temporary: The student should intend to stay in Australia temporarily. •Objective of ‘GTE Assessment’ is to filter genuine students from non-genuine ones •GTE Assessment is conducted at three levels: oAgent oUniversity/College oAustralian High Commission WORK RIGHTS OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS •Students can work 40 hours/fortnight (part-time) when their course is in session •Students can work 40 hours/week (full time) during semester breaks and vacations •Students not having exhausted 20 hours of part time work in a week can work extra in the following week in such a manner that the total duration over two weeks should not exceed 40 hours •Students are usually paid between AUD 15 to AUD 20 per hour •Students are able to support their living expenses to a good extent by working part time in Australia Note: Students are allowed to work full time even when their course is in session. POST STUDY WORK VISA Students apply for “Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)” after completing their studies that lets them live, study and work full time in Australia. GOLDEN ORIOLE EDUCATION Education Loans: •Should be availed from an acceptable financial institution •Should not be ‘In-Principle’ or ‘Conditional’ and should be fully sanctioned •Valuation Report of the property •Collateral security can be asked for (immovable property/fixed deposits) •Security should belong to immediate family members Income Proof: •Income proofs for the recent 2-3 assessment years •Where evidence of funds is required, the applicant can provide one of the following: oEvidence of funds for 12 months – evidence of funds to cover travel to Australia, 12 months’ living costs for themselves and accompanying family members, tuition fees and schooling costs for school aged children. oEvidence of annual income – the student can provide evidence of personal income of their parents or spouse / de facto partner of at least AUD$60,000. The parents or spouse / de facto partner cannot be travelling with the student to Australia. The evidence must be in the form of official government documentation, such as a tax assessment. SPONSORS Acceptable Sponsors: •Parents •Grandparents (Maternal/Paternal) •Siblings (brother/sister) •Student himself •Uncle/Aunt (not more than 20%-25% of the total fund requirement) Non-Acceptable Sponsors: •Cousins •Family Friends •Distant Relatives BACKLOGS •Maximum number of backlogs accepted varies depending on the individual criterion of Australian universities. •Generally, universities accept backlogs ranging from 8 to 12 •Some universities may accept backlogs up to 15. •Group of 8 universities accept not more than 4-5 backlogs •Some universities like James Cook University – Brisbane and CQ University can accept profiles with 20-30 backlogs also. GOLDEN ORIOLE EDUCATION EDUCATION GAPS •Students with a gap less than one year in their profiles (after HSC or Graduation) are accepted by Australian Universities/High Commission without any documentary evidence. •Students need to prepare a good SOP mentioning their activities for gap up to a year. •For gap of more than a year after HSC/Graduation documentary evidence is mandatory •In absence of a satisfactory evidence, students may not receive an offer from the Australian universities.
