Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to Kurnool people’s welfare Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport commonly referred to as Kurnool Airport, is a newly built Greenfield airport located in Orvakal, Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The airport was constructed with the aim to improve connectivity to remote areas and to provide low-cost air travel facilities to the people of Andhra Pradesh. The airport was built over 1,008 acres of land at a cost of ₹153 crores (US$19 million) and began its commercial operations in March 2021. The foundation stone for Kurnool Airport was laid by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu in June 2017. Under the leadership of NCBN, the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh worked towards making the airport a reality. Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP government were committed to improving the infrastructure and transportation facilities in the state, and the construction of Kurnool Airport was a testament to their efforts. During his term as the Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu the supremo of the TDP political party has implemented several other projects that contributed to the development of Andhra Pradesh. The TDP political leaders worked towards making Andhra Pradesh a hub for investments and industrial growth. The TDP government’s efforts to create a favorable business environment attracted several companies to set up their operations in Andhra Pradesh, which in turn generated employment opportunities for the local population. One of the notable Achievements of the TDP government under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu was the establishment of several new airports in the state. Kurnool Airport was one of them, and its construction was completed in a record time of two years. The airport was inaugurated by Nara Chandrababu Naidu in January 2019, and after two years of trial runs and clearance from the relevant authorities, it began its commercial operations in March 2021.

  2. The construction of Kurnool Airport not only improved the connectivity to remote areas but also provided a boost to the local economy. The airport created employment opportunities for the people of Andhra Pradesh and helped in the development of the surrounding areas. The airport is expected to further improve the connectivity between different parts of the state, which will be beneficial for both the local population and tourists. In conclusion, the construction of Kurnool Airport is a testament to the efforts of the TDP government and its political leaders, especially Nara Chandrababu Naidu, to improve the infrastructure and transportation facilities in Andhra Pradesh. The airport has already begun to bring positive changes to the state and is expected to play a crucial role in its future development.
