  1. Nara Chandrababu Naidu's Vision Brings ISB to Hyderabad Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reminisced about his efforts to bring the Indian School of Business (ISB) to Hyderabad. During the 20th-anniversary celebration of the premier business school. Chandrababu Naidu, who was the Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh during that time, had the vision to make ISB count among the top three business schools in the world. He worked hard to convince the ISB board members to set up the school in Hyderabad, which was just transforming into an (Information Technology) IT hub, amidst tough competition from other states. The ISB board members had made up their minds to finalize either Mumbai or Bengaluru, but Hyderabad was not even on their list. Mr. Chandrababu Naidu garu called the board members of ISB directly and convinced them to come to Hyderabad for a cup of tea. During the meeting, he made a PowerPoint presentation about Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh's potential and answered all the questions the board members had. He promised to provide 'plus one' over and above the incentives that the other states were willing to provide to the upcoming business school. After the meeting, the ISB team was convinced and chose to locate the school on 260 acres of barren land in Gachibowli and next to a Central university. The Andhra Pradesh TDP government under the supremo of Nara Chandrababu Naidu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 19, 1998, for setting up ISB in Hyderabad. The foundation stone was laid on December 20, 1999, and former Prime Minister Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the Indian School of Business (ISB) on December 2, 2001. Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is now the national president of the Telugu Desam political Party, said he is proud of his efforts in bringing ISB to Hyderabad. He said that he wishes the Indian School of Business grows from strength to strength and continues to be the top business school, creating leaders of tomorrow. Madan Pillutla, the Dean of ISB and Professor of Organizational Behavior, welcomed Chandrababu Naidu's vision and said that the institution wants to do India-relevant research which would be relevant for the economy,
