MBA and Other Master’s Degrees

After completing graduate degree, student’s real challenge began and is to choose its master’s degree or MBA Degree. MBA in India can be joined after completing graduation in any specialization. A master’s degree eligibility is must have bachelor’s degree in the same specialisation. Eligibility for MBA in India is Entrance exams like CAT, MAT etc… or some MBA colleges in India provide direct admissions.

  2. MBA or Other Master’s Degree? After completing graduate degree, student’s real challenge began and is to choose its master’s degree or MBA Degree. MBA in India can be joined after completing graduation in any specialization. A master’s degree eligibility is must have bachelor’s degree in the same specialisation. Eligibility for MBA in India is Entrance exams like CAT, MAT etc… or some MBA colleges in India provide direct admissions.

Difference between MBA and Other Master’s Degree Main difference in MBA degree and other Master’s degree is that MBA focus is on over all skills development; improve your managerial skills in various departments like finance, operations, marketing and human resources etc.; brush up your communication skills. Unlike in Other Master’s degree their focus is on only one part of the field like if your pursuing Master’s degree in commerce their focus is on accounting and banking sector only.

  4. Knowledge & Approach of MBA and Other Master’s Degree There was an old myth about MBA degree is that it only provides theory knowledge and leaves the practical approach of the subject. From last over the years this theory approach of the subject has been significantly changed to practical knowledge. MBA theory and practical approaches prepares a graduate to fully skilled Administrators/Managers to join a new job. Most companies prefer an MBA rather than a Post Graduate in other Master’s degree. They know the value of an MBA graduate who will take their company or department to the new levels.

  5. MBA Specialized or Other Master’s Degree Generalized Despite of what you choose, it is important to select it in early stages to have a better scope of career and job opportunities. The main advantage of having master’s degree is that it allows you to focus on one topic entirely. Whatever your strength is, it allows you to focus on that only like above example if your forte is commerce subjects- accounting and finance than there is no use of following the MBA path. A company need an accountant, a manager and a marketer for the different profiles and different departments. A great and skilful manager cannot handles accounts and an accountant cannot do field work like a marketing person. So it is important to follow your major strength area and you will get maximum and better outputs/results from this. Students unaware of their specialization areas and major strength are suggested to go for an MBA degree that will provide them a better career for sure.

  6. MBA and Other Master’s Degree Career Opportunities MBA aspirants have better and more career opportunities than a Regular Master’s degree. On the basis of a bachelor’s degree alone you cannot get a better job. You have to have a master’s degree in any specialization. And this is true that An MBA graduate gets well paid jobs in the industry than an Other Master’s degree holder. MBA degree is a most valued and respected degree all over the world and can provide you chance to work in abroad also. Most business houses in the world prefer and are ready to take MBA graduates in their companies for most well paid jobs and can provide you a best rank position in the company. Top Business houses and corporate in India have MBA graduates working at the higher level management.
