1. INTO THE BRAND: BENTON People invest in skincare for different reasons, but most of us will admit that having youthful skin is right up there near the top of the list. Who wouldn’t want to have supple, 20-something-year old skin? So we choose products whose descriptions include the words “plump”, “smooth”, or “fresh” - all things we associate with “young” skin. To ensure absolute freshness, products are made in small batches, and only natural preservatives are used. Sensitive skin? You won’t find any parabens, mineral oil, alcohol, or other common irritants in their ingredient lists. To put the icing on the cake, Benton is cruelty-free certified, and holds the “Beauty Without Bunnies” mark from PETA. It’s also organic, and is EcoCert certified. You won’t find an overwhelmingly long product list at Benton. They have a handful of lines based on specific ingredients, including their famous Snail Bee line. It has some stellar effects, since it’s full of proteins, antioxidants, and has healing properties. Bee venom basically tricks the skin into boosting collagen production and increasing circulation, resulting in plumper, smoother skin. Aloe Propolis Line: Aloe is a hydrating, calming ingredient that can be used on most skin types. Here it’s paired with propolis, a bee product, which heals, soothes, and balances troubled skin. Cacao Line: This line helps to balance skin that has a tendency to flip- flop between dehydrated and oily.
