  2. INTRODUCTION If you are learning to play the guitar, you must be aware of how difficult it is. Remembering all the notes, switching between them, and strumming takes a lot of practice. Being a newbie at it is a tough job. You must have been told to tune your guitar before playing in your guitar classes in Dubai. So, to help you out, we've made a list of tips to learn to play the guitar. While these tips won't make you play like a pro instantly, they will make the journey a little easier.

  3. ALWAYS TUNE YOUR GUITAR Tuning your guitar is one of the most important steps of playing it. So, do not skip this step.  Tuning is an essential part as it makes sure the right sounds come out when you are playing the guitar. Therefore, never skip tuning your guitar before sitting down to play.

  4. DON'T SIT ON A HIGH CHAIR You should never sit on a high chair while playing the guitar. It is essential that you sit comfortably so that you can hold the guitar comfortably. However, when you're sitting on a high stool, your legs drop down. As a result, your guitar is also at a threat of falling. Moreover, you'd need to hold it tighter than usual, which may take up a lot of your attention. Therefore, it is recommended you sit on a medium height stool instead.

  5. AVOID PLAYING SITTING DOWN ON A LOW COUCH Sitting on a low couch would make you lean over to hold your guitar. So, you should avoid that position. As someone experienced, you can play your guitar sitting anywhere. However, as a beginner, you should focus on sitting in a comfortable position. The way you hold your guitar affects the way you play it. As we discussed before, you should sit on a medium-height chair and keep your comfort in mind. So, you don't strain your arms as well.

  6. DON'T PLAY ON AN ARMCHAIR When you're sitting on your armchair, your left elbow gets stuck into your middle. It is something that you would want to avoid. As a beginner, you'd want your arm to be free, and an armchair restricts that. The position is crucial while playing the guitar. So, avoid sitting on an armchair as it can restrict your movement and lead to restrictive playing.

  7. USE TABS RATHER THAN SHEET MUSIC Tabs are quite easy to use, which is why beginners are advised to use tabs. So, you should switch to tabs if you have been using sheet music. As tabs are easier, they give you a head start. Once you are comfortable, you can go ahead and learn to read sheet music as well.
