  1. Does occupational therapy help ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)? Occupational therapy is one of those therapies which helps in taking a stand on the aggressive behaviors of your child. ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) treatments are given to children under the guidance of caregivers. The caregivers play a significant role here in providing a positive and assistive environment and help the therapist tailor a child’s treatment plan. An occupational therapist has much to do with ADHD. The treatment plan could be different for each individual and is done by having the child as well as the caregivers work together to create the appropriate plans in Empower therapy. To summarize, a child would be scheduled with play activities. They would have different energy levels and interests, so they are assigned different activities with breaks at regular intervals. The treatment requires a flexible approach and a unified application in a parallel manner. Therapists must focus on multiple aspects, like motor skills, sensory, social, and emotional controversies. The improvisations are made with respect to the interests the child exhibits with the therapist. Then a list of activities tailored for the child is developed. Most of the activities are simple such as brushing teeth, buttoning shorts, eating meals,

  2. peeing, volunteering, and so on. The behavioral changes in the child during the therapy are analyzed and modified based on the changing environment. An occupational therapist helps in improving the concentration and memory skills of your child. Improving your child’s concentration is much more important as a lag in it would reflect in their schooling. Also, it affects their activities at home. So, there should be a proper plan for managing the aspects of your children who are looking for occupational assistance. The plans would effectively support the child’s skills and improve their motor skills, concentration, and other bodily functions. These functions are coached with the support of the caregiver.
