  1. What is occupational therapy? What are your thoughts? Occupational therapy is a treatment that deals with problems like movement and coordination. This helps in improving the motor skills that are required every day. Life activities like brushing, writing, buttoning your shirt and other simple activities becomes tough for autism spectral disorder kid and they often forget to follow. Under Occupational therapeutic care, kids practise everyday activities. This could be used to treat all the physical, mental, as well as developmental disabilities. Therapy will be tailored act of sessions for the children with their day-to-day tasks. What occupational therapists do? Occupational therapists treat individuals for developmental, physical, and mental difficulties. From this, their main aim would be to provide rehabilitation services.

  2. Occupational therapy doesn’t end up with treating motor skills alone. It also helps in treating disability and injury normalities. Most of them are day-to-day activities that are routine for any individual. The use of occupational therapies may help those with autism and other developmental disorders, including injuries, problems with communication and mental health issues. Empower therapy works by providing this help through our tailored techniques for your child. This is a process that starts with approaching a client and auditing their life with their everyday difficulties and routine. With this, the therapist frames a connection with the child or the person to be fortified. What is the purpose of an individualised plan? Occupational therapists would access the client with the process of rehabilitation. This is done by tailoring an individualised plan. The subordinate or the assistant would put this plan into action for further ideas. The child's treatment shall be met. The process would be informed to child’s parents. Both the therapist and the therapist's subordinate would work together to help their clients understand their needs. What occupational therapy do? Occupational therapy helps a lot in fine tuning the motor skills and skill execution. Typically, therapists would focus on managing coordination, self-sustainability, and balancing skills. Therapists don’t end up training people of a particular age group, but they do treat people of all ages, from babies to adults. The main motto of any therapist would be to understand the child and to treat them. This includes making the required changes according to the needs of the child for better treatments. How does an occupational therapist work? The first task of an occupational therapist would be to create a treatment plan. The plan would contain the goals and targets that are to be achieved in a stipulated period of time. This helps them to learn the practical, realistic, and personal needs of an individual. The plan is a greater mile stone achievement for those children who have started their interest in their routine. The underlying support gives them the purpose of improving themselves. Moreover, children

  3. might start believing in themselves and grow to have improved abilities. The occupational therapist would access the child's status after a few weeks. The initiation would be with their starting their treatments according to their plans. There might be some plan changes if necessary. How is the evaluation process done? The evaluation process would be completely up to the choice of the therapist. This depends on the experience that the caregiver has gathered. It also includes the experience that the therapist is gaining from every session. The therapist would begin their process by taking care of the experience changes and constricting the current status. This occupational therapy complements the therapies that make it comfortable for your child. This would especially help the children to feel free with the treatments that they are being given. To make it clear, to make it easy for the children to identify, to make differentiation with the handles, could be done. The greater the clarity of the images, the better the workings that the children follow as a routine. The therapist would be clear with the circumstances and goals following the clarity of an occupational therapy receiver. The therapist would support your children with relevant devices and equipment. The requirements might include food assistance, wheelchairs, beds, and other helpful necessities. There are certain rehab methods that would help in overcoming one’s functional difficulties. They also support one’s independence to function in a proper manner. Wrapping up Occupational therapy would be the one that tries to improve life skills and vocational client paths. Occupational therapists would work to improve the flow of one’s life. If you are looking for assistance, feel free to call Empower Therapy for an occupational therapy appointment. Call us now.
