  1. 5 Practices for Good Product Management Summary: Keeping on top of your products when you sell online is extremely important to your stores’ success. Good product management means that you have a vast product, marketing and strategic skills to ensure products are viewed and sold. Many people may think that product management just means that you take care of the product stock and update anything on a product when it is due. Product management is a lot more than that. A product manager is responsible for the success and improvement of a product. They ensure that a product is the best it can be with intense research and planning. Below are some points that a product manager needs to consider when they create a product and bring it out to the public. 1. Research The key to any good product is research. It is the most important factor for any project. It allows you to gain insight into potential competitors. It also allows you to see what is trending at the current time, what kind of styles and content is the most effective, showing you what works and what doesn’t. This part allows you to gain great insight into what everyone else is doing. Giving you inspiration for what you’re doing and allowing you to stay away from what other people have done which doesn’t work at all.

  2. 2. Planning Coming up with a strategy In this stage, you can take all the information that you found from the research stage into this one. Gathering all the information that you have found to create a cognitive plan for your products. Having a plan for your products is the most effective way to ensure that it does well. Having a content plan, marketing and spending plan together to make sure that everything goes well and according to plan. 3. Testing This part allows you to test and see what works best for your products and what doesn’t. It gives you an insight into good practices you should follow for product management. Allowing you to see what worked from your plan and what didn’t, meaning you can tailor your next plan from the test done previously reducing errors the next time you test. A place you can test your products could be on your Shopify integration to see what your customers think and how they feel about your products. 4. Marketing

  3. Another thing that a product manager can do is determine how the product is marketed. Providing images and content to be published with marketing. Letting the products be shown the way they were envisioned by the product manager. Working with the marketing team to make sure that the products are displayed correctly and are showing the right information. 5. Improvement This would be the last step when it comes to product management. Taking all the information that you have gathered from all the previously mentioned points you can then gather information about the products and how effectively they marketed and how well the images and content on them worked. Allowing you to create improvements from what inevitability worked and what didn’t. Project management is a vast job that covers a lot of aspects of a business. Making sure that product sell, considering marketing and planning out everything step by step. It is a job that requires a lot of time and effort to do right and requires a vast amount of knowledge on many different things.
