Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology About TIET : The Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) is one of India’s oldest and brightest educational institutions, providing both the country and overseas with a steady stream of highly qualified talent. The Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, located in Patiala, was established in 1956 with a campus spread across 250 acres and has been a leader in engineering education, research, and innovation.   2. USP - Thapar : The central library of the university has a collection of more than 89,746 books. The Institute has well-equipped health care facilities for the students. The University provides hostel facilities to the students with advanced amenities.
