  3. Past polio campaigns • 1986-88: US$247 million • April 2002- June 2005: US$135 million • December 2007- June 2012: US$200 million Over 2 billion children immunized

  4. Volunteer Structure • 42 Zone Challenge Coordinators • Zone Fundraising Team • RRFC’s • Assistant RRFC’s • ZCC’s • District PolioPlus Chairs

  5. Time Line -1 December 2007to 30 June 2012 -US$141.2 million raised to date.

  6. District 7610 Current Stats • Through June 30, 2010 a total of $230,959 was donated by clubs and DDFs. • Top Clubs: • McLean • Caroline County • Albemarle County • Bailey’s Crossing • Vienna

  7. Rotary Clubs • US$2,000 goal per year until 30 June 2012 • Suggested 20% of DDF each year • Target New Rotarians • Since 1 July 2005: • 150,000 new Rotarians • 1,500 new Rotary clubs

India NID 2011 • Participate in a NID in Bahir, India • Be a part of ending Polio by vaccinating children first hand • Visit a Polio Rehab Hospital to see the effects of Polio and how Rotary is helping • Visit schools that are supported by Rotary Matching Grants • Visit World Health and Polio Plus Offices • Lead by PDG Nancy Barbee 7730

  14. India NID 2011 (cont) • Visit Taj Mahal and other sights • Stay with Rotarians while in Kolkatta • Late Jan-Feb • Estimated cost $3000-3500 • Includes Air, hotel stays and most meals. • More information forthcoming
