  2. PHOSCLEAR® is a proprietary blended and buffered preparation of Aluminum Sulfate, a safe and widely used chemical in water treatment and industrial applications. Commonly called “Alum”, Aluminum Sulfate is the most widely used chemical in North America to treat municipal waste water flows for phosphate control and for clarification before discharging to an estuary.

  3. When used as directed, PHOSCLEAR® will benefit most ponds, lakes and decorative water features with improved clarity and with excellent control of soluble phosphates.

  4. Aluminum Sulfate (Al2(SO4)3)is commonly called “ALUM.”   This product is commonly used as a coagulating agent in municipal waste waters for clarity and phosphate control.   It is also used in paper making, as a food chemical in pickling and as a “Stiptic Pencil” for superficial shaving cuts.
