  2. A knot, often known as a trigger point, might have the sensation of a small, firm lump. Some of them may exist in the deeper layers of your soft tissue, while others may be detectable with only a light touch. A trigger point has the potential to develop in any part of the body that has skeletal muscle as well as fascia. Imagine the texture of PVA glue after it has dried and gotten sticky; this is what happen to the individual muscle fibre when they start to adhere to each other and stick together. If you notice any lumps, bumps, or hard regions developing anywhere on your body, you should make an appointment with your physiotherapist in Delhi “Physiorevive” as soon as possible. The origin of the feel and sensation of a knot rather than the fact that tight muscles are the source of the condition is still not fully understood by medical specialist. 02

  3. Skeletal muscle tissue are made up of long fibre that are link at both end to tendons (which in turn attach to bones). Since there is no end of a muscle fibre that is not attached to a tendon, there is no loose end for the muscle fibre to knot itself with. A knot can be define as a region of muscle fibre that have tightened but are unable to break their grip on one another. Knots in muscles frequently form in the region known as the “Motor Spot” of the muscle in question. Motor point are thought to correspond to the point where nerve first enter the muscular belly. The tension in the muscle is determine by these motor sites. Because of a failure in the muscle fibres that are located around a motor point, the muscle belly will have a taut band with a painful area in the midst of it. This painful spot is refer to as the Trigger Point. 02

  4. 03 Trigger point types • Active Points express pain even when they are not being touched. • A Latent Point only causes pain when pressure is applied to the area.

  5. 03 Causes • Stress-The most significant contributors to the formation of muscular knots are mental and emotional stress. • You may feel the tension in your muscles. • Accidents and injuries caused by lifting. • Repetitive action- If you use the same muscle consistently, doing the same task (typing, using the mouse, texting on phone, or sports), it often surpasses the functional endurance of the muscle, which causes pain. If you use different muscles continually, doing different tasks, it does not create pain. Your body is capable of doing a range of motions because it was built to do so. • Poor posture can cause some muscles to become overstretched, while other muscles get over shortened. This can lead to a variety of health problems. People who operate on laptops or who stare down at their phones consistently demonstrate this imbalance. • Sitting for long periods of time- If you have a job that requires you to sit for long lengths of time, you run the risk of developing muscle knots due to the fact that you are maintaining the same position for an extended period of time. • Dehydration.
