Indians can appreciate whisky better than most cultures (Indeed!) • Indians have a far refined palette and most Indian Scotch whisky brands have a rich and complex flavour, spice and smokiness. • Since the Indian palette is already evolved to appreciate spicier and intense flavours, there is a better understanding and appreciation of some of the most powerful flavours of scotch.

Age is not the ultimate yardstick of good whisky • A fact for those obsessed with the number on the bottle. • Age is an important factor in the making of great whisky but good cast management and blending skills of top Indian whiskyare just as important or perhaps more crucial than the number. • How do you know a whisky is good? • Make sure to read tasting notes and try out a glass at a bar prior to investing in a bottle.
