  6. 1. Know the Syllabus  This is the first step for any exam you are going to give. The IIT Jam exam has been conducted for 7 subjects.  Choose the subject which follow your stream & find out the topic firstly .  find out the subtopics of each topic. Don’t miss out any topic & point out the topic which has been asked frequently.

  7. 2. Know the Exam Pattern  The duration of exam will be 3 hours. The exam will full objective type. There will be three sections for this exam.  Section A: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) – 30 questions  Section B: Multiple Select Question (MSQ) – 10 questions  Section C: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions-20 questions  There will be total of 60 questions carrying 100 marks.

Find out the Best Study Material  Don’t buy any book which is suggested by your friend or any other acquaintance.  Go through the book.  You can take help of online coaching also.  They will provide you their sample paper so if you find sample papers good enough than you can go for the whole study material.  You can also find out books on amazon, Flipkart but check their reviews before buying

Make Strict Schedule for Study  Make to time table, give more priorities to the topics which cover more marks.  You can also give more time to the topic in which you are weak & yes don’t take this time table lightly.  Follow this strictly yes but you can skip it on occasional day.  Don’t be too strict.

Solve Previous Year Question Papers & Mock test Papers  Find the last 10-years papers & solve them.  If you join Online Coaching than you will easily get it by them otherwise, you can download them from anywhere else.  Everything needs practice so Start giving mock test papers & analyze your performance in test & improve it for next time.  Increase your performance graph on daily basis.
