  1. Noida Airport Project Expands To Aligarh Border As UP Acquires Noida Airport Project Expands To Aligarh Border As UP Acquires Additional 1,200 Hectares Additional 1,200 Hectares The Noida International Airport (NIA) and aviation hub will grow by 1,200 hectares, bringing the total area to be developed to over 7,750 hectares, according to a decision made by the UP government. Expanion Of Noida Airport Expanion Of Noida Airport The airport's perimeter will now include this piece of land, bringing it up to the limits of the Aligarh district, where a multimodal logistics park has been proposed. Additionally, it will open the door for NIA, which is already on track to become the biggest airport in the nation, to surpass Denver International Airport in the United States and King Fahad International Airport in Saudi Arabia as the third largest airport in the world. The government organization responsible for carrying out the airport project, Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL), has submitted a proposal for the expansion of the airport and the aviation hub. The changes will be incorporated into the Master Plan 2041 before it is submitted to the state government for approval. “The proposed land will be used to expand the aviation hub, with a focus on leasing land to foreign companies engaged in the production of airplanes and spare parts. This decision was made with future needs in mind, as more aviation-related industries will be housed here.” Land Acquisition Land Acquisition The process of acquiring land will start in the following 1.5 months, according to Arun Vir Singh, chief executive of NIAL and YEIDA. Six villages, Ahmadpur Choroli, Mangaroli, Sadullapur, Bhavokra, Alabalpur, and Dyouar, would provide land for the 1,200-hectare parcel located between the airport area and Aligarh's Logistics Park.

  2. Out of the initial 6,554 hectares allocated for the airport and aviation hub, about 4,752 hectares will be acquired in four stages. For the Noida International Airport, which is currently being built, the first phase spans 1,334 hectares. A land acquisition process is currently being carried out for the second phase, which covers 1,365 hectares and is intended to be an MRO hub. In order to select a concessionaire for building the MRO facility on this land, the YEIDA will soon release a request for proposals (RFP). For the third and fourth phases, which cover 1,318 hectares and 735 hectares, respectively, a notification to conduct a social impact assessment (SIA) has been issued. Government land makes up the remaining 1,800 hectares. The project's fifth phase will involve the acquisition of the recently added 1,200 hectares. According to the NIAL CEO, the government is actively developing policies to entice manufacturers of aircraft parts and to create a special policy for the aviation sector, similar to the exclusive policy for the MRO sector.
